Plum Street is located uptown and open April until the end of the summer. There is a constant line of people patiently waiting to step up to the counter and pick from dozens of great flavors of shaved ice snowballs. The mood on the line is fun, the owner/servers friendly and the line moves quickly. Once hooked, you’ll be back regularly for years. My son and I have made this a tradition that has seen him from infancy to junior high school and I’m sure that this tradition will continue into his adulthood. Plum Street also serves their heavenly delights at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival each spring.
