The Camellia Grill - Killer Omletes!

This place has been closed since Hurricane Katrina, but is undergoing renovation and will open soon. NOT SOON ENOUGH. This place is a must for breakfast, always a line on weekend mornings. This is a throw back to a 50’s grill in the south, located at the end of St. Charles and Carollton Avenues Uptown. The thing to get is one of the omelets, which are a full grade above any other omelet that I have ever had. I prefer the Chef’s Special omelet. If you can finish one of these then you deserve a metal of valor. The pecan pie is excellent too. They only accept cash and the average price person for breakfast is about $10. You’ll recognize this place by their white façade complete with tall white pillars.
