On the west end of Bourbon Street: at 11:30 am on Friday afternoon, New Orlean’s royalty lines up outside this place for some fine lunch dining. This is the place where old-line, prominent New Orleanians mingle and meet. It’s fun to watch as people move from table to table. The service is exceptional, the food is expensive ($35-100 per head for lunch, including champagne) and the hardcore diners will start with lunch and continue through dinner. I put this one on the list for something a bit different. It’s also a bit dressier, sports jackets and dresses.
