Located at 501 Napoleon Blvd near the river in the Uptown section of NOLA. This is where lot’s of great local and national acts play. They opened another branch of Tips in the FQ, but the one on Napoleon is the original and can be a lot of fun. All types of music. Not much else around there though. On Sunday evenings they have Cajun and zydeco music, dancing and red beans n’ rice. Starts around 5:00 pm and if you’ve never seen Cajun dancing, this would be a great place to go on Sunday. Very, very entertaining, The folks there are really nice too. Cover is generally $5-10. The local beers that I have come to like in each of these bars is Abita Amber a mild dark beer. Also is you like really dark beer, Blackened Voodoo is pretty good. This is a large club, but still makes you feel intimate with the performance and the patrons. (504) 895-8477. www.tipitinas.com
